The result of this fusion is a house designed for living in the present, for “living in your own time”, in other words, being aware of the strong bond that links us to nature and feeling the need to defend it by living in harmony with it.
This awareness and sense of responsibility towards nature provided Studio Corsaro Architetti with the initial inspiration to create this house, which has become both a symbol of and a testament to our time.
A timeless corner of paradise in the Itria Valley
Casa ELLE is located in one of the most panoramic parts of Puglia, between Cisternino and Ostuni, in the heart of the Valle d’Itria; surrounded by olive groves and oak forests, it stands on the highest point of a hill from which you can gaze as far as the eye can see towards green horizons.
The house is the epitome of a place where past and future meet, creating an “architecture of the present”. An architecture in which cultural roots and archaic local construction techniques, aimed at protecting humans from nature, blend with our more recent awareness of the need to protect and conserve the environment.
The bedrooms are located at either end of the house, all with en suite bathrooms. On one side, the main bedroom offers views out over the valley. The remaining bedrooms can be found on the other side, each with its own private garden.
Finally, particular attention has been paid to the principles of sustainability through the use of active systems, high-efficiency installations that guarantee the reduction of energy consumption and passive systems – these include the shell made using natural materials, the use of stone for the external walls and floor, and wood for the internal walls, all of which ensure the building’s high level of compatibility with the environment.

The living area features a large open space with kitchen, dining room, lounge and fireplace. Opening onto the landscape through a covered veranda, it boasts views of the pool, an ideal place for contemplating the world.
